Chen Yi Sin, student of Minsheng Middle School of Jiayi, won a gold medal in the 1000 meter Speed Skating event in 2009 SO World Winter Games. Mayor Huang Ming Hui praised her in public today.

Yi Sin began learing inline roller skating with another 3 SO athletes in 2007. At first, she was not the best one. However, after continued practise, she won the first in the 1000 meter speed skating qualification competition held in January 2008 and got access to the winter games.

The girl changed to ice skating in July 2008. The whole changing was short but hard. Numerous falls could not stop her dream for Special Olympics. Finally, she made it a success with a gold medal in 2009 Winter Games.
