During April 1-5, Special Olympics East Asia Unified Football Senior Coach Seminar was held in Kunming, China. 30 coaches and teachers from mainland China, Korea and Chinese Taipei participated in the seminar. 20 Special Olympics athletes were invited during the seminar.

SOEA Sports Director Mr. Charlie Chang, FIFA Senior Lecturer Mr. Kwok Ka-ming, AFC Senior Lecturer Mr. Thomas Xu and other local officials attended the Opening Ceremony.

Besides the professional football knowledge training, the coachers also got a chance to teach what they have learned to the SO athletes.

The seminar was exclusively sponsored by Boeing Company.
