UBS Held “Love as Song” Special Concert for Adopted Schools

 

Following the success of the last concert in Beijing early 2008, UBS China Community Affairs Committee and The Children & Young Women’s Chorus of the China National Symphony Orchestra held the New Year 2009 Children Chorus Special Concert, “Love as Song”, again at Concert Hall of Central Conservatory of Music on Jan 3, 2009. This concert is for students and teachers of Beijing Tongzhou Special School and Beijing Chao Yang Anhua School. Professor Yang Hongnian, the famous music conductor of Central Conservatory of Music, was invited as the music director for this special event. Students from special schools also performed wonderful plays on the stage.

David Li, Chairman and Country Head China & Chairman of the China Community Affairs Committee, attended the concert and gave a speech. Simon Jin, Managing Director of UBS AG Beijing Branch also attended. Over 200 people participated in the event and enjoyed the performance, including UBS and UBSS Beijing staff and their family members, Special School students, teachers and parents, as well as Special Olympics East Asia staff.
